Photography Tutorial Series (Still under construction)

1.1 Camera Types/Formats

 

Some of my friends often say that they would like me to teach them something about photography, but that is usually about as things usually go. I have spent countless hours reading photography books and trolling the internet learning about different aspects of photography as well as taking thousands of photos trying new techniques, settings and options.

I also hope that in getting Elke to proof read/check the tutorial series she will inadvertently absorb parts of it and feel less daunted by her camera.

To be able to teach a subject you have to understand it fully yourself, so I hope in completing this series that I will consolidate and extend my own knowledge on the subjects.

Each tutorial is written so it can be (mostly) understood without having read previous sections, but also so that it continues on from previous sections and fits in a sensible order.

In an attempt to make best use of the fact that this is an internet based tutorial as opposed to a book, many links to other web sites are given at appropriate places throughout the tutorials to web sites where the subject may be discussed in more detail than I can or want to.
